About Greg Vaughan, M.C. (Master of Counseling)  


Greg has over 20 years experience in organization consulting, change management and training. He earned his Master of Counseling Degree from Arizona State University and his Bachelors in Psychology from Texas A&M University. He also completed doctoral studies at the University of Nebraska and is one of only a few consultants in the country to be trained by the Fred Emery Institute on Open Systems theory and Participative Design methods. Recently, Greg completed certification training with the Organization Design Forum.

Greg specializes in organizational change. He is an experienced practitioner with a wide variety of organizational change tools and methods, often involving large groups of participants, representing all levels of the organization. Greg's strength is his ability to bring clarity to chaos. He is also genuine. Greg listens well and provides ways of understanding that help others see new possibilities and solutions. He is an excellent communicator who presents information clearly, gains buy-in, and motivates people to change.

Greg is also a seasoned trainer with extensive experience helping organizations develop and implement new directions. He has implemented over 30 large projects impacting over 10,000 employees in five states. He has developed management and delivery systems for large on-site projects, has conducted numerous train-the-trainer programs, and has authored curriculum for 24 courses and workshops.

Greg brings a strong mix of knowledge, experience, and skills to his consulting and training projects. He upholds an appreciative perspective to organizational initiatives, helping people discover what works as a foundation to build on. He adheres to whole system thinking, and understands how key dimensions of organizations interrelate and must be accounted for in change initiatives. Finally, Greg embraces the wisdom that already exists in organizations, using participative methods and tools to unlock the passion and sense of responsibility of employees.

A resident of the Phoenix area for the past twenty years, Greg is a skilled backpacker who frequently hikes the California Sierras and the Grand Canyon. A lifelong musician, he spends his free time in his recording studio, and also enjoys photography, tennis, and snow skiing. He and his wife, Karen, live in Scottsdale, Arizona.
